Wine-Specific Conditions

Legal Requirements

Wine is sold to you by Farmer's Leap Pty Ltd under Liquor Licence No. 50814483 in accordance with the Liquor Act 1997 (SA).

To buy wine via the website, the buyer must be at least 18 years of age, be located within Australia and specify a delivery address within Australia. Under law, alcoholic beverages can only be sold or supplied to persons aged 18 years of age or over. By placing an order, the buyer confirms they are at least 18 years of age. If buying wine as a gift, the recipient must also be at least 18 years of age. The courier will request some form of ID if there is any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery. If that recipient is unable to produce appropriate ID, the courier cannot leave the wine.

Wines purchased from Farmer's Leap are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.

Shipping Costs

Australia Post is Farmer's Leap's common carrier choice. Postage is charged at $12 (inclusive of GST) per dozen or part thereof to South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, ACT, and Tasmania. Deliveries to Queensland, Western Australia, and Northern Territory are charged at $20 (inclusive of GST) per dozen or part thereof. Our reserve wine "The Brave" Shiraz, will be shipped free of charge to all States and Territories.

Farmer's Leap makes every effort to deliver wine to Australian captial city metropolitan areas within 7-10 working days. For delivery adresses in Australian regional areas and outside metropolitan capital cities, allow at least 14 working days. In outlying areas, delivery may take a little longer. We do not guarantee any specific delivery date.

Wine is normally delivered Monday to Friday between 9.00am to 5.00pm via Australia Post to either business premises or a residence. If the premises are unattended, the wine will not be left, but rather the courier will leave a card and the item will be transferred to the nearest Post Office for collection.

Wine is a Delicate Commodity

Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. In the event of an extended extreme weather period, we will contact you following your order and make arrangements with you to hold your wine in storage until the risk passes.

Force Majeure

Farmer’s Leap is excused from performing its supply obligations where and so long as prevented from doing so by reason of events beyond its reasonable control. Farmer’s Leap will endeavour to notify you of the delay and its expected duration. If so prevented for longer than a reasonable time, Farmer’s Leap may elect to cancel the order without liability to you.

Farmer's Leap recommends that alcohol only be consumed in moderation. A case of wine is heavy, so extra care should be taken when lifting it. If you are concerned about the weight, transfer bottles 1 or 2 at a time.
