Farmers Leap win gold at International Wine Awards
Farmer’s Leap have recently been awarded several medals at the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
Founded in 1969, the IWSC is considered to be one of the most prestigious competitions of its kind.
Judging for the Competition has two stages;
First, the products are tasted blind by expert panels, selected from over 300 fully experienced and qualified industry judges.
Secondly, products which receive the top medals are then subject to technical analysis before results are released- this crucial stage ensures winners receive complete validation.
We are absolutley thrilled to have recieved three awards for our wine - as below:
Farmer’s Leap The Brave Shiraz 2013
Judges Tasting Notes: Deep crimson colour with a tiny lighter rim. Lovely fragrance, blueberry and mulberry with cherry and plum thrown in. Some delightful herb notes, bayleaf and black pepper. There are flavours of blackberry and raspberry, mocha and liquorice. Structure is firm with ripe tannins, sweet oak and lashings of ripe fruits. Great density on the long finish. Maturing beautifully but a long way to go.
Farmer’s Leap 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon
Farmer’s Leap Fortune Shiraz 2013
